The band was formed in October 2011. James McVey was already under the management of Joe O'Neil in 2011. James found Bradley Will Simpson on Youtube and together they formed the beginnings of a band. After about one year of writing they meet Tristan Evans and became "The Vamps". About eleven months later they invited Connor Ball to join the band a the fourth member.
